Self-Portraits byVincent Van Gogh (1853-1890)

Note: I have chosen from among many Van Gogh self-portraits just those from three years, 1887-1889, as a way of illustrating not only how he kept experimenting with the materials of painting, but also how he kept re-imagining himself.
