Closed Simple Curves

Calculus: Multivariable, McCallum, Hughes-Hallett, et al.

Parameterizations are used to describe curves in general \(n\)-dimensional space. As with standard single-variable functions, there are many properties, such as continuity or differentiability, that a curve can possess that can be determined from a parameterization. Such properties will be important in defining and calculating integrals of multivariable functions.

This worksheet introduces some standard terminology for parameterized curves and discusses how to test whether a given parameterized curve exhibits certain properties.
